Job Summary
Performs continuous observation, interpretation, and communication of cardiac rhythms for cardiology patients under RN supervision; analyzes and records ECG rhythms, maintains telemetry monitors and alarms, supports central station and bedside monitoring, and assists with related duties including video monitoring, order entry, and answering phones. CPR certification required by role; benefits from preferred EMS/CMA training and a cardiodysrhythmia training background.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High school diploma or GED
- 1 to 3 months of related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic cardiac dysrhythmia training or successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia training course upon hire
- CPR – American Heart Association
- Preferred EMS, CMA diploma/training/experience
