Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse

Provide direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for critically ill patients in the Cardiac ICU. Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment home care, and medication administration while promoting patient safety and regulatory compliance. Develop and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, ensuring communication across the continuum. Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care, including patient preferences and cultural values. Work in a constant state of alertness with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity.
