Job Summary
Cardiac electrophysiologist sought for locum coverage at two Rhode Island hospitals (Coventry area) with an established EP program. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive electrophysiology services across inpatient and clinic settings, performing ablations and device placements, managing a high-volume caseload (2100+ procedures annually period implied by workload expectations), and providing call coverage (1 week per month) with a multidisciplinary team including APPs, fellows, and CT surgery. Workdays are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with 1–2 clinic days and 3–4 lab days weekly, in a two-hospital setup about two miles apart. Licensure is supported if needed for the locum opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- Board certification in cardiac electrophysiology
- MD or equivalent medical degree
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Rhode Island or ability to obtain licensure
- Inpatient and clinic electrophysiology experience preferred
- Experience performing ablations and device placements is implied by duties
- Call coverage requirements
