Cardiac Diagnostic Lab Registered Nurse

Provides direct patient care in the Cardiac Diagnostic Lab including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards. Educates patients and their families on illness management and post-treatment home care needs, and administers medications. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs; participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; contributes to professional development and interprofessional collaboration. Develops and documents individualized care plans in accordance with established guidelines, and communicates plans across the continuum of care. This role is designated safety-sensitive and aligns with the BJC RN Career Ladder to support career advancement. The department performs transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, nuclear stress tests, and related cardiac diagnostic services.
