Job Summary
Conduct patient examinations and device therapy for bradyarrhythmias and tachyarrhythmias using pacemakers and defibrillators. Perform interrogation, transtelephonic monitoring, and device testing to ensure proper functionality while notifying providers of abnormalities or medication issues. Execute basic non-invasive cardiovascular procedures under limited supervision, evaluate equipment quality control, and troubleshoot to maintain performance. Collect medical and historical information, educate patients on procedures, and manage workflow by scheduling appointments and maintaining supply inventory. Provide quarterly productivity reports, update staff on device software and hardware, and handle clerical tasks including documentation, billing, and patient notifications. Work full-time days, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in science, healthcare, or related field
- Clinical licensure applicable to area of practice
- Two (2) years of relevant experience
- Proficient cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Remote defibrillator and pacemaker monitoring
- FHP sponsored Cardiac Device Educational Program (i.e., Arrhythmia Technologists Institute or PrepMD) or equivalent education within twelve (12) months of hire/transfer
- Effective communication skills for interfacing with all levels of staff, independent practitioners, patients and other contacts
- BLS certification
