Job Summary
Cardiac Device Specialist responsibilities include assisting physicians and clinic staff in monitoring patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices, performing CIED programming, managing patient diagnostics via remote monitoring, analyzing transmissions, and entering data into Paceart and Epic. The role maintains system integrity under supervision, adheres to Mercy Service Standards, and requires an RN with relevant nursing education. The position is full-time with a hybrid schedule (clinic hours 8:00 am–4:30 pm; 1–2 days per week remote) at Mercy Hospital St. Louis, Saint Louis, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Proficiency or demonstrated ability in CIED remote programming within six months of hire (preferred)
- Experience as RN, LVN, CMA, paramedic and/or device industry experience considered
- Knowledge of medical terminology specific to electrophysiology and EKG knowledge with understanding of cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias (preferred)
