Job Summary
Provide comprehensive critical care management for high-acuity cardiovascular patients within the Medical Cardiac ICU, collaborating with Advanced Heart Failure, Interventional Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Electrophysiology specialists. Lead and teach cardiology fellows and internal medicine house staff, participate as a core member of the multidisciplinary shock response team, and manage advanced temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support devices (e.g., Impella, LVAD). Participate in a 7-on/7-off schedule and contribute to a tertiary cardiovascular program focused on innovation and multidisciplinary patient management.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, or Emergency Medicine
- Completion of fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine or combined Cardiology/Critical Care training
- Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted New York State medical license
