Job Summary
Assume responsibility for assigned patients in the cardiac cath lab or structural heart, performing patient assessments and correlating clinical findings with exam requests. Assist interventional cardiologists in performing cardiac cath or structural heart procedures while obtaining hemodynamic and angiographic information. Document all data within the hemodynamic system and EPIC, perform patient education related to the procedure, and select technical factors to produce quality images. Apply ALARA principles to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others. Work a 40-hour day shift (7:00am - 4:30pm) Monday through Friday with rotating day off and on-call requirements. Receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or graduation from an accredited program in Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- One years experience as a Scrub Assistant in a cardiac catheterization/EP lab/Structural Heart
Desired Qualifications
- Post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Cardiac/Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology RT (CI) or (CV)
