Job Summary
Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures by preparing patients, monitoring vital signs, and operating specialized equipment like fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring systems. Maintain sterile techniques, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and accurately document procedures and patient data. Monitor patients before, during, and after care while responding promptly to emergencies, collaborating with cardiologists and nurses for optimal outcomes. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Associate's degree, RCIS/ARRT certification, and 1–2 years of Cath Lab experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certificate in cardiovascular technology, radiology, or related field
- State license as required
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or ARRT certification
- 1–2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting
