Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Tech RCIS assists with invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab under physician/supervisor direction, operates imaging equipment, performs as scrub tech and circulator, monitors patient status and EKG/dysrhythmia interpretation, assists with equipment setup, transport and post-procedure safety, and maintains sterile technique and lab readiness. Responsibilities include teaching/orientation of staff and students, inventory control, troubleshooting equipment, and assisting with procedures and medication knowledge as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
- Licenses and/or Certifications (Required)
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- RCIS certified within six months of date of hire
- ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
