Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Tech RCIS assists with invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab under supervision, serving as scrub tech/circulator and operating imaging equipment. Responsibilities include teaching and orienting staff, interpreting basic/advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs, monitoring patient status, assisting with procedure setup and sterile technique, transporting patients, stocking and inventory control, and preparing the lab for procedures. Requires RCIS (or ARRT TX RT[R] in lieu of RCIS), current AHA ACLS, and an associate or bachelor’s degree with healthcare experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
- Licenses and/or Certifications (Required)
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- RCIS certified within six months of date of hire
- ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
