Job Summary
Assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under the direction of the supervisor and physician. Interpret basic and advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs, operate physiologic recorders, and monitor patient status during diagnostic procedures. Prepare the lab for procedures by setting up equipment and maintaining sterile technique, while also preparing patients for procedures by shaving, prepping, and marking arterial pulses. Clean and stock the cath lab, order supplies, and troubleshoot equipment problems. Post-procedure, remove sheaths, maintain hemostasis, and monitor patient status. Work 0700-1730, M-F. Methodist Dallas Medical Center is a 595-bed acute care teaching hospital and the only adult Level I Trauma Center in southern Dallas.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- ARRT and TX RT(R)
- Must be RCIS certified within eighteen (18) months of date of hire
