Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic viewing of coronary and peripheral arteries, Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), and revascularization procedures including PTCA, stenting, and peripheral atherectomy. Perform insertion of temporary and permanent pacemakers, mechanical and pharmacological thrombolysis, and right heart catheterization with Swan-Ganz catheters. Manage insertion, removal, and exchange of hemodialysis catheters, PICC lines, nephrostomy tubes, and other drains while monitoring hemodynamic status. Maintain sterile fields, prepare medications, and operate fluoroscopy equipment in full compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
- Graduate of Radiology Technology program (RT-R)
- Graduate of a Paramedic Program
- RT(R) license
- Paramedic license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained through the American Heart Association (ACLS)
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
