Job Summary
Provide anesthesia care for both cardiac and general surgical procedures, including CABG, valve repair, and structural heart cases like TAVR and MitraClip. Utilize perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) during cardiac cases and collaborate with surgeons, cardiologists, and multidisciplinary teams. Deliver high-quality patient care in a busy tertiary environment while documenting anesthesia care according to Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare and Somnia standards. This full-time hybrid role offers approximately 60% cardiac and 40% general case mix with a $625k base plus $50k stipend.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Eligible for Tennessee Medical Licensure
- DEA Registration
- BLS and ACLS Certification
- TEE Certification Required
- Demonstrated experience providing anesthesia for open-heart and structural heart procedures
- General Call Rotation: 48 calls per year
- Average 1 per week in-house with a CRNA
- Post-call day off
- Non-call-taking full-time option: M-F
Desired Qualifications
- Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship preferred but not required
