Job Summary
Assist in the evaluation and treatment of Cardiology patients in an inpatient setting by assessing patients, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as stress testing, and prescribing necessary treatments. Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record data in the patient's record while writing progress notes, consults, admissions, and discharge summaries. Prepare patient workups and order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as direct patient care services are delivered. Work alongside Physicians and other Cardiology APPs in a collaborative team. This full-time day shift Monday-Friday position is with Piedmont Heart Institute, a leading cardiology program offering comprehensive cardiovascular services including electrophysiology, transplant, and advanced heart failure care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board
- Graduate from a school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing
