Job Summary
Cardiac Rehab RN provides quality patient care in a cardiac rehabilitation setting with telemetry monitoring and exercise prescription. Responsible for evaluating vital signs, oxygenation, weight changes, and patient tolerance to determine performance of METS and progression of exercise, and ensuring adherence to ACLS equipment protocols. Delivers education materials to patients and families, participates in policy-setting input related to the role, and works with gym equipment (treadmills, stationary bikes, Nu-step, arm ergometer) while maintaining safety and infection control. Works 26 hours/week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, in Harrisonville, MO, performing duties with professional and enthusiastic patient interactions; no formal supervisory responsibilities. Risk of exposure to blood and body fluids; cares for adult and geriatric populations.
Required Qualifications
- Two to four-year RN degree
- Currently licensed in the state of Missouri
- ACLS/BLS required
- Experience in critical care or with cardiac dysrhythmias preferred
