Card Reconciliation Officer

Job Summary
Conduct daily reconciliation of card transactions across POS, ATM, web, and digital channels, reconciling data between Mambu, card management systems, payment switches, settlement banks, and general ledger accounts. Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, settlement discrepancies, and aged outstanding items while validating settlement reports from schemes and switches. Prepare daily, monthly, and operational risk reports, including outstanding items and exception dashboards, ensuring all activities meet approved service level agreements. Maintain complete audit trails, identify control weaknesses, and recommend automation opportunities to improve reconciliation processes and internal controls.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2–4 years' experience in Banking Operations, Card Operations, Reconciliation, Settlement, Finance Operations, or Electronic Payments
- Good understanding of card transaction lifecycle and settlement processes
- Knowledge of payment schemes such as Interswitch, Mastercard, NIBSS
- Understanding of General Ledger reconciliation
- Knowledge of electronic payment operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in card reconciliation within a commercial bank, fintech, or payment service provider
- Familiarity with Core Banking Systems (e.g., Mambu)
