Job Summary
Perform layout, fit-up, and welding of structural materials per prints and specifications while interpreting blueprints and weld symbols accurately. Ensure all welds meet AWS D1.1 standards and inspection requirements, operating tools such as drill presses, grinders, saws, and hand tools. Safely use forklifts, cranes, and shop equipment while maintaining clean work areas and following all safety guidelines and PPE requirements. Work 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with overtime as needed at a rate of $20.00 to $25.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Structural Welder / Fitter AWS D1.1
- Proficient in blueprint reading and weld symbols
- Ability to perform welds meeting AWS D1.1 (X-ray, MT, PT standards)
- Experience with layout, fit-up, and structural fabrication
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to safety
