Job Summary
Greet customers in person or virtually, listen to their needs, and describe vehicle features to match their requirements. Conduct test drives following established procedures, suggest optional equipment and warranties, and correctly compute sales quotes. Collaborate with the finance team to obtain financing, complete necessary paperwork, and arrange delivery and registration. Maintain solid knowledge of brands, pricing, and specifications while developing a prospect follow-up system. Participate in required training and make effective demonstration rides on planned routes. Comply with dealership policies and develop personal income goals consistent with standards.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills with both customers and DARCARS employees
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
- Requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Be a team player
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, evenings and weekends
- Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable safe driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background)
- Must be able to make an effective demonstration ride on a planned route
- Utilizes and familiar with online digital retailing selling tools
- Must be able to use video tools to assist customers virtually with car buying process
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to speak multiple languages (Spanish and Chinese) is a plus!
- Previous sales experience preferred but not required
