Job Summary
Greet customers in person or virtually, listen to their needs, and describe vehicle features and operations to match their requirements. Obtain correct identification, follow test drive routes, and suggest optional equipment, warranties, and financing options. Compute and quote sales prices, complete necessary paperwork, and arrange vehicle delivery and registration. Maintain solid knowledge of brands, specifications, pricing, and options while making effective demonstration rides on planned routes. Develop and maintain a prospect follow-up system, participate in required training, and utilize digital retailing tools. Collaborate with the finance team to obtain financing as needed and develop personal income goals consistent with dealership standards. Comply with all policies and procedures, ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to professional and ethical business practices.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills with both customers and DARCARS employees
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
- Requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Be a team player
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, evenings and weekends
- Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable safe driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background)
- Must be able to make an effective demonstration ride on a planned route
- Utilizes and familiar with online digital retailing selling tools
- Must be able to use video tools to assist customers virtually with car buying process
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to speak multiple languages (Spanish and Chinese) is a plus!
- Previous sales experience preferred but not required
