Car Repairman

Conduct scheduled and on-demand maintenance on railroad cars, including air brake tests, by inspecting components for AAR, FRA, and company standards. Repair, remove, or replace defective parts such as wheels, couplers, and brake equipment using jacks, torches, and hand tools. Perform rerailing, emergency repairs, and lading inspections across yard limits, roads, and industrial sites while operating forklifts and car-moving equipment. Prepare written reports and billing forms for monthly processes. Requires two years of experience, welding certification, and ability to work in all weather conditions.
