Job Summary
Supervise students during daily transportation to and from school safely and on time. Maintain accurate route descriptions, student rosters, time sheets, and mileage reports. Report inappropriate student behavior to administration promptly. Control students in a firm, safe atmosphere while establishing relationships with students and parents. Drive the vehicle safely per state and county guidelines, keeping equipment clean inside and out. Cooperate with investigations of liability for accidents involving state-owned vehicles. Perform related work as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must possess and maintain a valid state commercial driver's license required endorsements with an acceptable driving history
- Must be able to supervise students while transporting them to and from school safely and on time
- Must be able to maintain accurate route description and student roster at all times
- Must be able to report inappropriate student behavior to the administration in a timely fashion
- Must be able to keep accurate records, time sheets and mileage reports
- Must be able to control students in a firm and safe atmosphere
- Must be able to establish and maintain a workable relationship with students and parents
- Must be able to keep equipment clean inside and outside
- Must be able to drive the vehicle safely, maintaining state and county guidelines
