Job Summary
Load and unload used cars and auto parts onto and off trucks and 40HC containers while tying vehicles in safely with chains and straps. Operate loading equipment efficiently, inspect cargo for damages before and after loading, and maintain cleanliness in loading areas. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, assist with inventory management and tracking of shipped vehicles, and communicate effectively with drivers and team members. Align the vehicle chassis with the container chassis in the yard while adhering to safety regulations. Requires high school diploma, two years of similar experience, and the ability to lift heavy objects.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role at least 2 years
- Ability to operate loading equipment and tools
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
