Capture & Contracts Specialist, Public Sector

Job Summary

Review incoming Public Sector Requests for Quotes with Sales to assess capacity and resolve fulfillment conflicts before issuance. Partner with Legal to interpret flowdown requirements and verify Public Sector orders for Defense Production Act compliance. Coordinate Shipley-model color team reviews with cross-functional experts to build compliant responses to RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs. Process orders including DPAS DO/DX rated and non-rated opportunities while protecting priority production slots for tier-1 suppliers. Keep public sector opportunities current in the HubSpot CRM system across long procurement cycles. Train and hold the sales team accountable to rated order fundamentals to align customer expectations with business reality.

Required Qualifications

  • Onsite presence at our South Burlington, Vermont office
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in Sales Operations/Business Development with Government or Department of Defense (DoD) customers
  • Preference for candidates with capture experience and Defense Acquisition University (DAU) - equivalent training
  • Understanding and/or knowledge of industrial compute or rugged compute on the edge in austere environments
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now and in the future
  • Federal contracts and compliance expert who can read a flowdown clause and immediately know what it means for Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales
  • Experience processing DPAS rated orders
  • Knowledge of DO/DX priority ratings or the Defense Production Act
  • Capture professional experience running, or supporting, Shipley-style Pink, Red, and Gold color team reviews
  • Ability to turn a tight RFQ, RFP, or RFI deadline into a compliant, competitive response
  • Ability to hold the sales team accountable for accurate deal scoping during the sales cycle
  • Ability to build trust with internal post-sales teams and set clear, achievable expectations with customers
  • Fluency in trade compliance basics including International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)
  • Comfort working with global teams across time zones
  • Process-minded operator who keeps CRM data clean and procurement timelines visible

Desired Qualifications

  • Equivalent professional/military experience to a Bachelor's degree in Business Management
