Job Summary
Captive Account Executive serving as the primary relationship manager for captive insurance clients, overseeing governance, financial coordination, and regulatory compliance; consultative leadership with owners and boards; coordinates board meetings, provides strategic guidance on performance, structure, and long-term planning; collaborates with carriers, reinsurers, TPAs; supports formation/run-off of captives; reviews financial statements and regulatory filings; liaises with auditors, actuaries, tax providers, and regulators; ensures domicile compliance; mentors junior staff; periodic travel for client and board meetings; ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in risk management/insurance/finance/accounting/business, 7+ years of captive insurance management, professional designations (ACI, CPCU, ARM) or progress toward certification; strong financial/analytical skills and the ability to translate technical concepts; Hylant culture emphasizes growth and client partnership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in captive insurance management, commercial insurance, risk management, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of captive insurance structures, governance, and operations
- Experience working with senior clients, boards, or executive stakeholders
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Knowledge of reinsurance structures and fronting arrangements
- Proactive, client-focused, consultative mindset
- Travel willingness for client meetings, board meetings, and domiciliary visits
