Job Summary
Captain responsible for safe operation, navigation, and management of the vessel, passengers, and crew; ensure compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations and maritime safety standards; safely navigate, dock, undock, and maneuver the vessel; participate in safety drills and emergency procedures; ongoing crew management, training, and drilling; conduct pre-departure inspections; deliver exceptional hospitality and guest service; maintain knowledge of ships systems; analyze and prioritize tasks, with strong teamwork; provide training to new and existing Captains and Deckhands; additional duties as assigned; must pass drug/alcohol screenings and be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 100 GT or higher Merchant Mariner Credential
- CPR certified or certification can be provided
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing random drug and alcohol screenings
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and major holidays
- Team player and have ability to work independently
