Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate banquet staff during setup, service, and breakdown phases, ensuring spaces are arranged precisely to Banquet Event Orders. Lead pre-event briefings, assign duties, and manage staffing levels while monitoring guest experience on the floor. Serve as the primary contact with event planners and clients, collaborating with kitchen, stewards, and catering to maintain service excellence. Mentor staff on standards and uphold safety, sanitation, and alcohol regulations. Manage inventory of equipment and linens, reporting discrepancies promptly. Requires minimum 3 years in banquet leadership, flexible schedule including evenings and holidays, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in banquet or event service leadership at a resort or large venue
- Strong supervisory and team-motivation skills in high-volume environments
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and guest service abilities
- Ability to stay calm, decisive, and solution-oriented under pressure
- Flexible schedule is a must—events often include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout shifts
- Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs across event spaces
- Must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs, e.g., trays, linens, equipment
- Comfortable working in dynamic environments—conference centers, ballroom floors, banquet halls, and outdoor spaces
