Job Summary
Implement the Bachelor of Science in Nursing curriculum by mentoring students in an inpatient clinical setting in the Arlington, VA area. Bridge classroom learning with real-world patient care by planning experiences, providing direct supervision, and evaluating student performance against course objectives. Develop written clinical assignments, correct coursework, and offer remediation as needed while maintaining visibility with site staff. Contribute to program development, assessment efforts, and departmental policies while serving as a professional role model. Report student and agency concerns to the course coordinator and comply with all regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university
- An unencumbered professional nursing license in VA
- At least two years professional experience within last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse
- Live within a reasonable proximity of Arlington, VA - will be teaching at the clinical locations assigned per session
- An unencumbered professional nursing license in VA
