Job Summary
Capstone Clinical Faculty position (part-time) involves clinical teaching of nursing students in a hospital/clinical setting with on-site rotations (most commonly 12-hour shifts, 7a-7p, for three to four consecutive days). The clinical instructor implements the College's philosophy, plans clinical experiences, provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students, offers remediation as required, orients staff to agency policies, develops written clinical assignments, grades and provides feedback on student performance, and may teach didactic content under supervision. Requirements include a master's or doctoral degree in Nursing, an unencumbered RN license in Kansas (IL license required before any clinical contract for a given session), at least two years of recent instructional experience as an RN, and teaching/precepting experience preferred. The role reports to the dean or assistant dean via a course coordinator and supports student learning and professional development within Chamberlain University/Covista. Compensation is described on a per-assignment basis depending on course credit hours; pay transparency is acknowledged. Required Qualifications
