CAPPS Business Analyst

Job Summary
Develop and document high-level business process diagrams, procedures, and policies aligned with organizational goals. Collaborate with stakeholders to update documentation for process changes and design customized training content on budgeting, accounting, and accounts receivable. Lead in-person and virtual training sessions, provide ongoing system troubleshooting support, and assess program effectiveness through feedback surveys. Complete information security training as administered by the client. This six-month hybrid contract in Austin, Texas requires ten years of business analysis experience, eight years with CAPPS, and six years in training or system implementation. The role involves strong communication skills to explain complex concepts and the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
Required Qualifications
- 10 Years - Experience in business analysis, process documentation, or training, preferably within CAPPS or an enterprise resource planning (ERP) environment
- 8 Years - Experience with CAPPS, preferably during an implementation
- 6 Experience in training, instructional design, or system implementation, preferably within a public sector or large organization
- 4 Years - Experience with finance and accounting operations, including system support, particularly as it relates to public sector systems
- Strong background in process mapping, creating step-by-step procedures, and business process documentation
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address and resolve technical and training-related issues
- Ability to work independently, collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
- Certification or training in instructional design, adult education, or a related field
- Previous experience working with a state agency on CAPPS implementation
- Experience with virtual training platforms and tools
