Job Summary

Conduct interior and exterior painting projects, including surface preparation, patching, priming, and finishing for occupied units, vacant apartments, leasing offices, and common areas. Perform unit turns, drywall repairs, texture matching, and cosmetic touch-ups to maintain community curb appeal while operating sprayers, texturing machines, and other equipment safely. Inspect painted surfaces for repairs and coordinate priorities with Community Managers and Maintenance Supervisors. Travel between multiple Seattle portfolio properties to complete assigned capital improvement and maintenance tasks within established deadlines. Maintain accurate records of work and materials, exercise stewardship of tools, and adhere to OSHA safety standards and PPE requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional painting experience
  • Must provide and maintain personal painting tools, including brushes, rollers, a paint sprayer, and a ladder
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed, including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to safely climb ladders when necessary
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and other seasonal weather
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members
  • Demonstrated accountability, reliability, and strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe work practices related to painting and general construction
  • Travel between multiple apartment communities throughout the Seattle portfolio is required

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in property management, multifamily housing, or a related field
