Capital Project Engineering Co-Op/Intern - Spring 2027

Job Summary
Assist with project scoping, scheduling, cost estimating, procurement, and construction management for sustaining capital projects. Support equipment design and fabrication efforts across pumping and electrical systems, rotary vessels, and tanks. Contribute in both lead and supporting roles on projects, gaining experience in supervision and execution across various plant operations. Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers, tradespersons, and contractors. Participate in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment. Adhere to Mosaic's mission, guiding principles, and priorities while working in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
Required Qualifications
- Junior level or above by January 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineer
- 2.75 GPA or higher
- Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
- Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the safety of his or her own self, or the safety of others
- Able to lift approximately 0-25 lbs. occasionally
- Able to climb stairs and work at various heights
- Able to distinguish varying or specific colors, patterns or materials
- Able to hear, with or without correction
- Able to read, write and understand basic English
- Able to see, with or without correction
- Able to use fine hand motor skills
- Able to wear a respirator
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to travel to and from sites and/or office
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work
- Previous internship or co-op experience
- Familiarity with an industrial environment
- Effective verbal communication skills
