Job Summary
The Capital Markets Associate will handle public and private equity and debt offerings, including initial and follow-on public offerings and various SEC filings. Candidates should have a solid background in interfacing with regulators and familiarity with ongoing reporting requirements for public companies. They must demonstrate strong client management, drafting, and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to counsel companies on governance matters. Ideal applicants are expected to have 5 - 7 years of relevant experience from another leading law firm and be admitted to practice in New York.
Required Qualifications
- 5 - 7 years of experience in Capital Markets from a peer BigLaw firm
- Admission to the New York bar
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in public and private equity and debt offerings
- Familiarity with ongoing reporting requirements under the ’34 Act for public companies
- Experience representing issuers and underwriters
- Experience counseling public companies on corporate governance matters
- Strong academic background
- Client management skills
- Drafting and negotiation skills
