Job Summary
Support clients through capital market transactions including IPO readiness, BAR Reports, and pro forma financial statements. Drive accounting change projects such as GAAP conversions, policy implementations, and new standard adoptions. Collaborate with Deals teams to analyze buy/sell side implications, valuations, and business combinations. Prepare complex calculations, quarterly/annual statements, and management reporting to inform stakeholders. Research technical accounting matters, draft whitepapers, and respond promptly to ad hoc requests while maintaining rigorous quality standards. Work flexibly under tight deadlines to deliver insights for high-profile transactions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in either financial accounting and reporting, a deals environment, or in public company audits
- Qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent reciprocal/recognized designation
Desired Qualifications
- A strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and ASPE
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in a team environment and communicate status of projects proactively
- Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and an aptitude for technology and innovation
- The ability to build relationships and to integrate with client teams working under tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to work through complex and challenging client projects
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced and changing project-based environment with the flexibility to work overtime where client deadlines are tight
