Job Summary
Capacity Representative responsible for load distribution from bookings to over the road (OTR) and delivery; examine loads following pick up and upon delivery to verify conformance to customer specifications and DOT regulations; oversee and manage OTR operations by tracking and tracing customer freight; contract dedicated carriers dependent on domestic capacity; ensure compliance with directives, DOT standards, and company policies; negotiate carrier rates based on market averages; approve and issue accessorial payments; administer carrier contracts with dedicate lane prices, terms and conditions, and other contract modifications and settlements; participate in weekly team meetings to evaluate and adhere to customer needs; collaborate with and assist Account Managers and Sales Executives; participate in creating solutions to carrier “fall off”, claims and product OSD’s (overages, shortages, damages); analyze carrier insurance policies to ensure they comply with AMX policies; work with special operations such as transloading, dropping of trailers, power only, OSOW (oversized, overweight), and other special provisions.
Required Qualifications
