Job Summary
Capability & Product Owner for SAP Finance and Controlling, serving as the finance lead for SAP and related systems (Blackline, Workiva, Anaplan). Define the “what” and “why” of financial system capabilities, translate accounting and operational needs into clear functional requirements and success criteria, and align with Finance, Accounting, and Technology stakeholders. Own the finance functional roadmap, drive long-term strategy, and ensure systems support core financial operations, internal controls, reporting, and audit readiness. Collaborate with the Technical Product Owner on technical delivery, oversee governance, SDLC adherence, and drive data quality, reporting improvements, and opportunities for automation and AI integrations. Maintain strong vendor relationships, stay current on SAP innovations, and ensure effective interfaces across SAP modules and external systems. Requires hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling, experience with system integrations, and ability to communicate with management and clients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
- 6-8 years’ related experience with SAP ECC 6.0 & S/4 Hana, focused on deploying Finance and Controlling
- Knowledge of integration to external applications including Blackline, SAC, BW
- Strong understanding of financial processes, controls, and reporting requirements
- Hands-on experience in supporting the business with troubleshooting issues
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for interaction with personnel at all levels
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Proven leadership, organizational, and planning skills
- Application management and development expertise
- Experience translating business and accounting requirements into functional specifications
