Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Must be at least 18 years of age
• •Must be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods
• •Must be willing to travel throughout assigned neighborhoods within Nashville
• •Must be able to adapt to changing schedules and community events
• •Must be able to work independently while managing multiple priorities
• •Must be able to initiate conversations with new people
• •Must be able to communicate clearly, build trust, and motivate others to take action
• •Must have strong time management and organizational skills
• •Must be able to collect prospective family information while meeting daily recruitment and lead generation goals
• •Must be able to maintain accurate records of outreach activities and daily performance metrics
• •Must be able to represent Underdog Strategies and Nashville Public Schools professionally at all times
• •Must be able to follow all safety procedures, messaging guidelines, and project expectations while working in the field
• •Must be able to identify high-impact outreach locations including parks, grocery stores, churches, schools, apartment communities, and other public gathering spaces
• •Must be able to clearly communicate school information, enrollment opportunities, and application processes
• •Must be able to inspire families to take action toward student enrollment
• •Must be able to engage parents and community members through face-to-face conversations in assigned neighborhoods
• •Must be able to become knowledgeable about your assigned territory and build relationships with local community leaders
• •Must be able to work 15–20 hours per week
• •Must be able to work 3–4 days per week
• •Must be able to work approximately 5-hour shifts
• •Must be able to work weekdays from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• •Must be able to work weekends from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• •Must be able to work in Nashville, Tennessee (In-Person)
• •Must be able to work outdoors and engage directly with community members throughout the day
• •Must be able to walk within neighborhoods, attend community events, and interact with families in various public settings

Desired Qualifications

• •Reliable transportation preferred
• •Previous experience in community outreach, sales, customer service, education, or canvassing is a plus but not required
• •A strong belief that every student deserves access to an excellent public education
• •A commitment to supporting families throughout the school enrollment process
• •Passion for Education
• •Confidence initiating conversations with new people
