Job Summary

Conduct door-to-door outreach and engage community members at events, festivals, and college campuses to distribute voting information and register eligible residents. Educate individuals on voting rights and serve as Poll Monitors at assigned locations on election days. Submit completed voter registration forms to Field Managers at the end of each shift and ensure accurate data recording via MiniVAN and Connecteam. Collaborate with team members and cross-departmental staff to maximize civic engagement impact. This seasonal part-time role requires 15 to 20 hours weekly, evening and weekend availability, and travel to the Metro-Atlanta office. Fluency in AAPI or AMEMSA languages is highly preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
  • The candidate must be local to the Metro-Atlanta area
  • Candidates must have their own reliable transportation
  • Valid driver's license
  • Motor vehicle insurance
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs
  • Ability to stand/walk for a sufficient amount of time
  • Ability to work during Election Day
  • Commit to a standardized work schedule which includes evenings and weekends
  • Ability to align with scheduled community events and outreach opportunities

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in canvassing, voter registration, or community outreach
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Passion for both civic engagement and organizing with a commitment to increasing voter participation and community resource awareness via community events and other activities
  • Verbally fluent in a language spoken within AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) and/or AMEMSA (Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and South Asian) communities
  • Adept at using technology including MiniVAN, Connecteam, and GetThru
  • Comfortable working in inclement weather conditions
  • Ability to work in and with communities you may not necessarily identify with
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team, sharing insights and strategies to enhance outreach efforts
