Job Summary
Manage and train canvassers in the field for a Voter Registration Program, conducting pre-shift briefings and post-shift debriefings. Collaborate with Regional Organizing Directors and the Project Director to implement, adjust, and improve the training program while working in regional canvass offices. Handle extended hours, including evenings and weekends, with a projected 60+ hour week from mid-March through May, potentially extending through September. Assist in recruiting and managing a diverse team to meet ambitious voter registration goals. This cycle-based role begins immediately and concludes no later than November 15, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team
- Strong desire to help register new voters
- Must have ready access to personal transportation
- Will be required to provide proof of driver's insurance
- Willing and able to work extended hours, with the expectation of 6-day, 60+ hour weeks from mid-March through May with the high likelihood of extension through September, including evenings and weekends
- As this is an in-field position, the individuals must be able to stand, walk, and meet with canvassers in the field for the duration of the work day
- Individuals in this position must be able to communicate with colleagues and partners in person, via phone, including conference and video calls, as well as written communication such as email
- This position requires vision/hearing abilities
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of VoteBuilder, MiniVAN, or Blocks
- Prior volunteer or paid canvasser management
