Job Summary
Manage a team of 40–60 hourly staff to canvass door to door, talking to community members about local clean energy storage projects and building support for a reliable, affordable energy future. Canvass yourself several days a week to train staff and drive office goals while setting targets and holding personnel accountable. Train and motivate a leadership team, implement quality control measures, and maintain a healthy working environment. Develop strategic plans to reach targeted constituents and handle administrative duties including reporting, record keeping, and payroll processing. Lead from the front in Fremont, NE, reporting to the Lead Director.
Required Qualifications
- Leadership experience; ability to motivate, grow, and manage a large team
- Eagerness to lead from the front and canvass several days a week
- Extreme attention to detail and a proven ability to instill that quality in others
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong passion for community organizing and fostering civic engagement
- Track record of equity and inclusion
- Ability to work long hours, including evenings and weekends
- Preference for local candidates
Desired Qualifications
- Experience running paid canvasses or managing paid employees
- Familiarity with VAN and MiniVAN
- Experience working in underserved or marginalized communities
- Facilitation experience
- Local knowledge/experience
