Job Summary
Full-time remote English-Cantonese medical interpreter in blended (OPI & VRI) environment. Provides accurate consecutive interpretation between English and Cantonese across medical, social services, customer service, and financial settings, facilitating communication between healthcare providers and patients. Requires expertise in medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and relevant medical interpretation certification. Must have remote-setup readiness (wired Ethernet, specific headset, browser and hardware requirements) and be available five days per week starting June 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Cantonese
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Remote interpretation experience in both languages is mandatory
- Relevant certification in medical interpretation
- HIPAA compliance
- Ethernet connection (direct wired)
- No Wi-Fi allowed
- Noise-canceling microphone and USB headset (brands: Logitech H390, Jabra GN, Plantronics Blackwire C3220(Poly), Microsoft Lifechat LX-6000)
- Browser: latest Chrome/Safari/Edge/Firefox
- Processor: i5 or higher, 6th gen or newer
- Camera: 1080p minimum
- Full-time availability, 5 days a week
