Job Summary
Maintenance and repair of can-making equipment on day shifts, including preventative maintenance on presses, bodymakers, decorators, and other associated equipment; diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and failures to minimize production downtime; execute repairs, overhauls, and replacements of mechanical components such as bearings, gears, motors, pumps, and conveyor systems; conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions; assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment; requires a Bachelor degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field; strong understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulics, and pneumatics; proficient with hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment; ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics; excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong commitment to safety procedures; flexible to work day shifts as required; good communication skills in English and Greek.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably within a manufacturing environment, ideally in can packaging or similar high-speed production
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to safety procedures
- Flexibility to work day shifts as required
- Good communication skills in English and Greek
