Job Summary
Lead the canine playroom at a dog daycare/boarding facility, creating a safe and fun environment for dogs while upholding high standards of care. Responsibilities include supervising and managing large groups of dogs, maintaining cleanliness, assisting with meal prep, bathing and nail clipping as trained, labeling and organizing belongings, identifying dog breeds and behaviors, and promptly reporting any dog scuffles for safe wound cleaning. Collaborate with the team to ensure superior care quality and customer satisfaction. Education in basic dog obedience/training is provided, and there are opportunities for additional certifications; dogs can be brought to work after training.
Required Qualifications
- Love for dogs of all shapes and sizes
- Ability to supervise and manage large groups of dogs
- Willingness to perform cleaning and maintenance duties (mopping, sweeping, trash, water refill)
- Ability to perform meal prep with minimal guidance
- Ability to bathe and nail clip dogs when trained
- Ability to identify dog breeds and behaviors
- Ability to report dog scuffles for safety
- Team-oriented mindset and commitment to high standards of care
