Job Summary
Respond to high-volume inquiries across phone, email, chat, and SMS with professionalism and empathy, conducting thorough needs assessments to strive for first-contact resolution. Provide information on American Cancer Society programs and resources while coordinating support services to reduce care barriers for patients, families, and caregivers. Meet established performance goals and metrics by accurately documenting interactions in the Customer Related Management database and ensuring timely follow-up on a regular caseload of new and ongoing cases. Maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures to deliver consistent, high-quality information that meets unique constituent needs. Work flexible evening and weekend shifts in Central Time, with availability spanning Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 1 year contact center and/or customer service experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Active listening skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Ability to successfully and consistently meet performance metrics
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technology and tools
- Typing proficiency of 40 words per minute
- Ability to satisfactorily pass a pre-hire technology assessment and training assessments
- Comfortable making independent decisions
- Willingness to seek supervisory input when needed
- Physical stamina to primarily work while sitting at a desk
- Full-time work from home
- Flexible scheduling including working evenings, late nights, weekends, or holidays when required
- Availability in Mountain or Pacific Time Zone
- Availability in Central Time Zone
