Cancer Registrar

Job Summary
Identify applicable reportable cases for abstract entry according to national and central registry requirements. Abstract all analytic and non-analytic cases per Commission on Cancer standards and perform annual follow-up reviews on active patients. Interact with patients and designated contacts professionally while sharing information within HIPAA regulations. Maintain work records, policies, and procedures to meet defined quality and production standards. Edit software entries to ensure all required fields are populated. Requires Certified Tumor Registrar certification, Associates or Bachelor's degree in a health-related field, and Epic and Cancer Registry software experience. Full-time remote role with the University of Kansas Health System.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree Health-related field
- Bachelors Degree
- Certified Tumor Registrar - National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA)
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology
- Epic and Cancer Registry software experience
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department
