Job Summary
The Cancer Exercise Specialist at YMCA supports cancer patients participating in the Stay Strong Program by leading and planning individualized or group exercises.
Required Qualifications
- Cancer Exercise Specialist Certification through ACE
- CPR Certification
- First Aid Certification
- AED Certification
- Formal training in specialty class
- Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations
- Commitment to inclusion and ADA compliance
- Ability to pass a Nationwide Criminal and Sex Offender Registry Background Screening
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability working with all age groups and ability levels
- Demonstrated customer service skills and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead an individual/group and motivate others to achieve health goals
