Job Summary
Hematologist/Oncologist needed for an employed, two-hospital system in Southern Virginia to join an established Hem/Onc team. The role includes outpatient clinic responsibilities with 25-30 patients per day, coordination with a team of APPs, radiology/oncology colleagues, infusion services, and involvement in tumor board and clinical trial programs. The practice uses Aria Oncology information system, with 10 infusion chairs and 2 quick chairs; inpatient referrals go to large regional academic centers. Qualifications include BC/BE status with a strong emphasis on cancer care across breast, prostate, lung, colon, and head/neck cancers; supports full scope of hematology/oncology care including navigators, pharmacists, lab techs, phlebotomists, and office management. Compensation may include base salary plus RVU production bonus, sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, PTO, retirement plan, student loan repayment assistance, CME allowance/days, malpractice coverage, and practice-growth support.
