Job Summary
As a remote interpreter, facilitate real-time interpretation between English speakers and speakers of listed languages from a home office. Maintain high accuracy, render concepts and meanings per established interpretation protocol, explain cultural concepts when needed, and use glossaries or dictionaries. Requires a quiet, secure environment, strong listening and note-taking skills, and the ability to work efficiently to support clients across multiple languages and locations.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in English
- Minimum 1 year interpretation experience
- Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills
- Render correct concepts and meanings according to interpretation protocol
- Ability to explain cultural concepts when needed
- Technical requirements: Computer or Laptop, Windows 10 or higher, USB wired headset, steady wired internet
