Job Summary
Market Sector Lead for Data Centers in Canada responsible for driving growth, leadership, and technical excellence of Arcadis’ data center design/engineering practice across Canada. Leads data center pursuits from strategy and proposal development through detailed design and construction support; guides multi‐disciplinary teams; engages clients across hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and public‐sector sectors; develops go‐to‐market strategies; represents Arcadis at industry events; ensures design quality, resilience, and lifecycle performance; collaborates with global DC leaders to bring international expertise to Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related)
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in at least one Canadian jurisdiction (or ability to obtain)
- 15+ years of experience in the design and delivery of data centers or other mission‐critical facilities
- Demonstrated experience leading multi‐disciplinary design teams on complex, large‐scale projects
- Strong client‐facing experience, including pursuit leadership and proposal interviews
- Established network within the Canadian data center industry, with a track record of originating or influencing new work
- Solid understanding of Power distribution and redundancy, Mechanical cooling systems, Sustainability and energy efficiency strategies, Codes, standards, and DC‐specific guidelines
