Job Summary
Amend and negotiate construction contracts, purchase orders, and legal documents to ensure obligations are equitable and risks are minimized. Liaise with Canadian sales and operations teams to adjust scope and pricing according to bid intent. Negotiate with general contractors, consultants, and legal counsel to establish fair terms and eliminate misinterpretations of change requests. Standardize ongoing contract processes and stay current with relevant laws and regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to streamline execution and prioritize tasks effectively.
Required Qualifications
- 5 or more years of experience in contracts management or strong knowledge of contract law, including contract drafting and negotiation
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, construction, engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Exceptional written skills to amend legal documents in a precise and succinct manner
- Strong attention to detail while reading and interpreting information for long periods of time
- Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Learn new concepts and construction-related terminology quickly
- Conduct research as required
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Acrobat Reader, Bluebeam, and Navision
